Don't they typically peak at about 30/35 years? I'll admit I'm a rookie bourbon/scotch drinker so excuse my ignorance.
Honestly, I find that there is a point of serious diminishing returns after 21 years. That's why most of your highly rated Scotches are in the 18-21 year range.

Calandros on Perkins is my go-to. In that price range I would go ahead and pick up a few of their private barrels. The 3 knob creek barrels they have are all good if your a Beam fan and the barrel proof Four Roses OBSV they have is great.

Calandros then Churchills, they had EHTSB a week or so ago for about $50 IIRC.

Made it to Calandro's and picked up the Col. Taylor Small Batch as well as the Barrel Strength Four Roses. Going to decide for myself but which do you guys seem to prefer?

I feel like I'm at some of these posters houses. Btac flight followed by old Forrester birthday Bourbon and Bookers 25. This stuff is fricking delicious.

That's alright. I went with the intention of trying some Bourbons I haven't had the privilege of tasting before. I had everything I listed plus an old fashioned for under $100. It's OK.

The only 2014 btac they had behind the bar was the er17. Everything else was 13, but hey had all the 14s in the back.

I was there a couple of weeks ago, I want to say it is $35 or $45 for the flight. The Pappy flight was $125.
