Too late to join this thread? My go to whiskey/bourbon is jack daniels and makers but purchase 1792, wofford, and basil hayden when I feel like splurging or a special weekend. Im currently in the process of aging my own whiskey but eventually want to start building up a nice stash. What is a good start to buy a few bottles with a $250-$300 price combined?

Never too late. $250-$300 can get you quite a few good bottlles.
Booker's
EH Taylor Small Batch
Elijah Craig 12
Blantons
Eagle Rare 10
Old Grand Dad 114
Russell's Reserve
Four Roses Single Barrel
Weller 12
All are good pours that are easy to find and under $50.

Just finished catching up reading posts from this weekend. That Whiskey Shortage thread was quite entertaining.

Pregaming. I don't know if this is crazy but I made an ole fashioned with Weller 12, a little of 4 Roses private selection and a splash of angels envy. I've never mixed bourbons before and everyone may kill me for it but I felt adventurous. I must say it's the best damn tasting ole fashioned I ever had

The jungle juice of old fashioned
