My pour for the night is Four Roses small batch. I think I'm done shopping for a while, pretty happy with the current selection:

Knob Creek
Four Roses SB
Black Maple Hill
Jefferson's Reserve
Rowan's Creek

Did you check if they had that in stock? That's cheap if so.

Really good IMO, smooth with just enough bite and really good flavor.

NOLA, Looks like you're on a mission to kill off the whole EHT family this week! May they rest in peace.

That's a good price on the OWA. I've had three stores in the BR area tell me they've had it back ordered for months. I had to resort to buying the last 6 bottles out of Dr. Beardface's honey hole to be able to bottle up some PMP.

Call me crazy, but the OWA is better without mixing it with the WLW12. The WLW12 is a bit sweet to me.

What is your opinion of Pritchard's? Almost picked up a bottle today, but wanted to do some more research first.

I found a site that sells Old Antique Weller for really cheap plus 10% off if you buy a case. I'll post as soon as I find the site again

Thanks BTJ! Unfortunately, it appears that they will not ship to Louisiana.

Good little article from July.

Who stole my 12 year Weller??

I think this trend of losing the value bourbons and siphoning off to higher end "small batch" and "single barrels" will only continue to get worse. The distilleries have caught on to our values and want more of the cut of the money.

They tap the magic wand and the formerly $28 Weller 12s are magically transformed into 12 Year Van Winkle for $70 and resold for $200. Yes, the ABV needs to be adjusted, with maybe a little blend tweaking.

So they are adding some OWA? Sounds like BT is making Poor Man's Pappy and putting it in $200 Lot B bottles. (quietly calls local store to check on Weller 12 supply)

Thats exactly what they are doing. BT has 1 wheated mashbill...all their wheated bourbon is the same juice

Sounds like they are letting the Van Winkles get some of the honey barrels out of that stock and yes, blending them to the right proof and taste (and maybe putting just a bit of the SW stock). This is why so many are experimenting with the available wheated bourbons from BT trying to recreate similar profiles.
