Wow, I bet that Pappy got scooped up extremely quick.

A couple questions for the group. I missed out on the Four Roses 125. Does anyone have any guesses what it would cost on the secondary market (bx)? Also. I've been thinking about getting a bottle of Elijah Craig 21. Any opinions on it?

As an avid scotch drinker I can tell you aberlour 16 is one of my favorite scotches, so try the 16 over the 12 and enjoy.

I've got a bottle of the 16 right behind the 12
I like both bottles a good bit and the 16 is def better, but the 12 is a great value for me. Used to always get a Balvenie Doublewood for usual drinking with folks, but they went up to almost $60 a bottle for it recently. I can still find the Aberlour for under $50.

You won't regret it. It's one of the best scotches I've had this year. I had it at a tasting event and immediately had to go get a bottle. So smooth and complex at the same time. Almost dangerous to drink b/c so smooth.

I got one 125th on BX the day it was released in Ky for $120. The second bottle I got was local retail. Needless to say that $120 price has gone up.

4 roses limited

same details listed above apply but much older (13-20) years and hand picked by Jim Rutledge.

First rule about BX is you don't talk about BX

4R Small Batch is a blend of 4 mashbills that is a good value bourbon and quite tasty. 4R Single Barrel is just that. It's one of the mashbills and tends to be a bit spicier due to higher rye content. You can find some private selections and barrel proof ones that are even better. 4Roses also offers limited editions each year of both Small Batch and Single Barrel and they vary each year. The Small Batch LE has won whiskey of the year 2 years in a row so highly sought out.
