I tasted one of the major's maple whiskey offering and you could literally put it on your pancakes and not notice a difference. It was over the top.

Eta: and by over the top, I mean barely drinkable, unless you like incredibly sweet liquors.

My friends who enjoy crown said that the crown maple is awful.

I thought bourbon had to age 4 years minimum

No minimum aging for bourbon. Straight bourbon must be aged for 2 years and stated on the bottle if not older than 4

Can anyone speak to Breckenridge Bourbon? My guy at my liquor store speaks highly of it?

Picked some up in Breckenridge, tasted at the tasting room and thought it was pretty good, but I was hammered at the time. Bought a bottle and tried it at home and found it was lacking, especially for the price point.

Breckenridge tastes very weak/watered down and not nearly worth the $55 price tag. It tastes like a $10 bottle.

My neighbor, who will consume anything that gives him a buzz, can't even drink it. That's how I know it was rough.

Located a bottle of E.H. Taylor single barrel. Is it worth $75?

For a change of pace from our usual high-end whiskey hunting, HERE is a ranking of 10 cheap bourbons. Pretty entertaining.

75 is definitely not out of the acceptable range for EHT SB
