Got any details on this? Open to the public?

You just need to call the Bourbon House and reserve your spot. There were only 10 spots available to start though and I took 2 of them. No clue if there are any spots left. Its a 4 course dinner with 5 pours for $65. Tax and gratuity not included.

Two great bottles killed for a worthy cause. Pictured is the last pour of the GTS. The funeral for the Pappy was a private ceremony

Running low...very low...

1PD: Michter's 10 Bourbon

Are private liquor funerals allowed under Mississippi law? I'm pretty sure that and 8 girls living together are illegal there?

Opened my 2015 M10 a few nights ago.

Simply the worst high end bourbon I have ever tasted.

Pretty Awful.

I have heard that other years are good, but 2015 is not... At least in my opinion.

Very bitter.

Have you tried Michters Toasted Barrel? Also awful in my opinion.

Interesting. I really like the toasted barrel. Different strokes for different folks.

Some Fred Noe Bottle Swag. Thanks to LSUcdro for having this event and assisting Mrs. SMS.

I have a fairly unique first name, so I blocked it out.

I've been trying more and more scotch lately and I've figured out my position on it. A lot of scotches are boring to me, but Islays are delicious. Love the heavily peated taste. Lagavulin 16 is a bottle I'm adding to my collection and I was thinking I need to add a Laphroaig or 2. Any suggestion for which Laphroaigs or Islays In general I should be looking for?

I'm hoping it will improve some with time since its been opened. Maybe I was just off when I tried it. I'll have to revisit it soon.
