On to my next glass tonight, Booker's. It has long been one of my favorites. Every time I have a glass, I think of the first time I had it. It was my gateway bourbon. That glass made me realize how bad the stuff I was drinking in my younger days really was.

How are you liking the Stagg Jr? I was already a few glasses in when I tried my bottle, so I couldn't really form much of an opinion.

I find if I start off on the high proof stuff ice doesn't make it to the lower.

I'm on the look out for the "expert" selected batch of Booker's that is supposed to be coming out but I haven't seen it yet. Has anyone here seen it? Has anyone here even looked for it?

I like it but I have to proof it down a little with an ice ball and tablespoon of water.

I would say there are 5 fairly easy to find barrel proof bourbons: Booker's, Rare Breed, OGD114, Knob Creek Single Barrel, and Noah's Mill.

My ranking of them would be:

1A: Booker's
1B: OGD114 (IMHO, it's one of the best value bottles out there)
3: Knob Creek Single Barrel
4: Rare Breed
5: Noah's Mill (a lot of people like Noah's Mill. I'm just not one of those people.)

Next up tonight is High West Son of Bourye. I like this whiskey a good bit. I wish I could get my hands on a bottle of regular Bourye.

Side note: Good advertising on this page. At the top of my screen is an ad for ice sphere molds. On the side is an ad for Dominos Pizza. I am kind of getting the munchies right now.

I had my bottle of Weller 12 in my hand but decided to go in the complete opposite direction with the bourbon/rye blend.

Haven't tried the bourye yet. I have the Prairie bourbon from high West, it's not bad at all.

Obviously you and I keep the dash computer on the safe off road app. It's one of the more interesting ones and it's less depressing than the fuel one
