Yeah but that guy is looking for Toppling Goliath brew. which I understand goes for $500-$600 secondary.

Yeah, I saw in the comments that people were claiming it might be an unfair trade to the person with the beer. That's ridiculous.

One beer to enjoy once isn't worth a bottle of bourbon you can enjoy many times imo.

Has anyone had issues with retailers not shipping liquor to this state? I've been able to ship here from a couple of retailers. And now one that I really need won't send me it bc they say LA can only have beer and wine sent here. Anyone have any knowledge they can share?

From what I've heard, I haven't verified it, Louisiana requires you to purchase a permit to ship alcohol into the state.

So if a Texas store wants to sell you a bottle online, you pay for the bottle, shipping, etc and they have to send the tax back to Louisiana.

Sisyphus may be spot on with his answer but what I think is happening is that some retailers follow the letter of the law in that only beer and wine can be shipped here and other retailers say "frick it, the name of my store is Lunch Lady Wine, Spirits, and Brews they will think I am shipping wine or beer so I'm doing it".

Knowing the way our state government works and our laws here that would actually make a lot of sense. Stupid as could be but makes sense.

Honestly I'm not sure. I've tried to reach out to them a few times this week but haven't gotten anything in return. Not sure what their deal is.

The owner is a bit of a character... He posts in alot of the beer threads under "TheCoveBR" or something of that nature

That's not actually the owner, but either one or both of the managers at Corporate Brew & Draft.

Why is that dumb? Is PVW15 worth a lot more than KBBS on the secondary market?

Yeah I haven't given up yet. Just haven't had time to stop by there this week but hopefully can tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing if they can accommodate us and what not. They have a sick collection of bourbon.
