I wish we could have cut it higher. Obviously it was not an option. it would make barrel programs at BT so much more interesting.

I agree, the ability to pick a barrel and then pick a proof would be incredible. I think there are ATF laws that limit the ability to change proofs. Perhaps in 30 years when supply catches up with demand we will see such a program

I think the distilleries could pick 2-3 proofs per brand and get approval via the ATF. So for ER, there could be a 90 a 101 and another higher proof based on the recommendations from the master distiller and provide those options to consumers.

But, demand for everything they make is already sky-high and there is probably little incentive to offer such options.

Another option that would be awesome is a 3 pack, store pick, of 375s with 3 different proofs from the same barrel.

Any of y’all know what the bourbon trail is like this days in the covid world? We might try to go in late September but don’t want to book anything of crap is still shut down
