Absolutely...the RR at martins right now is 12yo. Its excellent. I wouldnt wait on it.
Bus, if you just buy a few things and talk to JP or Mark; the Uptown store is always the last with bottles.
Metairie is way busier fyi.

Eh, I spent just under $600 in the last few weeks on wine, whiskey, and beer at Metairie. I didn't bring in my receipts, though, so not sure how they'd know. No big deal, just Blantons. I probably hadn't spent money there in 6 months because I don't get to town as often as I'd like.
Not a huge fan of being lied to, though. Especially when the only reason I knew they were getting it is they told me when I was there.

So true. The regular Blanton’s is just bad. Recently did a blind tasting at Martin’s and Blanton’s stood out as the worst of 9 whiskies sampled.

Yeh...I hear you. I get treated that way at a store I have bought multiple BTAC and Pappy for over 15 years (including 6 figures of wine over the years).
Their loss...Martins picked up a good client.
If they haven't seen you for a bit, i would grab a salesman from behind the counter (make sure you have an actual salesman)...buy a bunch on their suggestion, then ask.

I'm pretty regretful I didn't pull the trigger on their current RR pick. I have the one prior and like it a lot. Sampled the current one and it was great. Meant to grab it on the way out but got sidetracked.
They pick very well. The Belle Meade Cognac finish is very nice too.

I was at the table with Tracy from Bourbon Fest.
Think I’m gonna stop by tomorrow and grab me a bottle of the RR pick. Have you tried the Maker’s Select Bourbon Fest pick yet? Hoping Martin’s gets theirs soon. Most others in town (Brady’s, Dorignaq’s, Etc.) already have theirs.

I have only heard it was very good (MM that is)
I got an EC pick of Bourbon Fest...it was really good.

Thank you for the offer! I have the BM already. I'll be back next week so going to let fate decide if I get the RR. If it's there, I'll get it. Wife has taken notice of my fall/winter bourbon binge, so I need to tread lightly from here on out.
