Anyone know if this batch of KY owl bourbon is pre or post SPI buyout? Was reading an interesting article last light about the Kentucky owl buyout and what the future might look like for the brand.

All the other prices are awesome, but one of these just sold on secondary for $310 shipped. Odd adjustment.
I just looked again. That markup we have on it is right at our regular markup
310 is a little below retail. Must not be making much noise on the secondary

The people who make/market it should start a rumor like “The delivery truck for our product drives past the Buffalo Trace Distillery every day!”
And the price will triple over night.

PSA-Alexander’s just received a store pick barrel of Buffalo Trace. It was picked by Jessie and for those that remember the ER10 barrel he picked, it was possibly the best store pick to come to Baton Rouge. And they are selling it for $23 (basically regular price).

shite....good bourbon for $23?!? That’s illegal these days right??

Word. Not trying to tell you what to do. And 330-350 seems to be more accurate on secondary. Think someone just lucked out on an auction on the cheaper one.
Didn't realize that was so close to retail on that bottle. That's crazy high.

I saw that a little while ago at Alexander’s. I nearly pulled the trigger, instead I bought McKenna and Barrell Whiskey batch 001
Here is my fledgling bourbon and scotch collection

I need the experts help in here. I have always been a Bourbon man, and always thought I hated scotch. Tried it in college on Johnny Walker black, and hated the smokey taste. I assumed through conversation with some novices this was the only way scotch could taste.
Fast forward to me in my 30s, and my friend tells me "you moron, there are scotchs without peat that dont taste smokey"
Well, he then let me try Balvenie 12 year, and my mind is now blown. Most enjoyable glass of whisky I think I have had
So, what are some other low/no peated scotch for me to try?

Love this one.
I also like the Glenfiddich 12 and 15yr. Also for a cheep as bottle the Tomatin 12yr is good IMO.

What would be a good one for easy consistent buying, say around $25 a bottle

Tomatin 12yr should be around that....

Just cracked one of the BT Alexander, it’s a little harsh for a 90 proof
