Man I thought about ordering some glenfarclas when I graduated as a present to myself. Was it worth the price tag?

Taste is really subjective...see if you can sample some at a local watering hole.

Taste is subjective. I will give you an example. I like Springbank 12 cask strength better than the Glenfarclas, it cost $90 a bottle where the Glenfarclas was $400. I like the Glenfarclas it is a very enjoyable whisky. Even at that I still,think I got good value for the experiance at $400. Check this out if it helps.

Wow, this stuff is great. Wonderful nose with lots of salted caramel and vanilla. Front of palate has good oak spice, spearmint in the middle, vanilla and caramel on the back end. Finish is super long and almost has a bubblemint quality as well.

Just picked up first bottle of Four Roses Single Barrel Strength Private select. It is OESK at 10 yr. Can't wait to try it. Hopefully didn't overpay at $65 a bottle.
They had some single barrel Old Forester for $30, might have to go back and get as well.
