I like that I'm seeing a lot of people use a glencairn glass. It pisses me off to no end when I go to a bar and buy a nice whisk(e)y only to have it given to me in a fricking tumbler glass.

Today’s pickups. I haven’t had an ECBP since the batch before they went to the new bottle. This B Batch was on everyone’s bourbon of the year list so hopefully it lives up to the hype. Also noticed today that ABC has a store select Elijah Craig SmB. Figured why the hell not.

I’m going to help you out. That batch is terrible. All those writers are liars. Let me help you dispose of it properly so you don’t waste your time.

I'm gonna have to try the Sexton. Hopefully they sell it somewhere in BR.

Found another one of these collecting dust today so figure I’ll put a dent in one of the opened ones.

No pictures but just getting back into whiskey - received some Angels Envy, four roses single barrel, and colonel Taylor single barrel.

Colonel Taylor is my my first pour tonight...

You would really hate the glass my wife's Grandfather gave me. It has a muscle car on it

PSA for you Laffy baws. I’m at Ruffinos on the River, they are serving me Saz 18 at baby Saz prices. $10.95 for 2 ounces. I might have a few!

Hey, now. I don't judge people for how they choose to drink their own whiskey at home. But when a nice bar doesn't give you the whiskey in some kind of snifter, then it's a problem. I went to Churchill's in Baton Rouge (a cigar and whiskey bar) a few month ago, and the bartender thought I was crazy asking for a different glass.

The dinner menu listed a “William Larue Weller old fashioned” for $15, but they didn’t have any WLW behind the bar.
