Just bought my 2nd bottle of Eagle Rare (common bottle).

I had a bottle a year or two ago and didn't care for it, found it harsh.

I decided to give it another try, and still do not like it, it is harsh.

My EC (common) was much better and $10 cheaper.

I tend to prefer normal EC (even w/o age statement) to normal ER, but some ER store picks have been exceptional (Alexanders, Martin's & Acquistapace's for me).

Those Acquistapace EC12's were unbelievable

Sticking with the Charter rayer

I'm heading to Florida tomorrow also, St Augustine for the weekend and then getting on a Disney cruise with the kids for 4 nights. Perhaps I can find some barrel proof Blanton in Nassau...

I went to the Bahamas last year and their whiskey selection was terrible. Hopefully you have better luck than I did.

Friday night lineup. What a week and heading to Orlando Sunday morning for a conference.

ETA: I can't remember who was asking about Astor's. I slammed their EC pick and still really dislike it, but that 10 year smooth ambler pick is delicious.

So you're familiar with Wine & Spirits in the Quarter? I'm gonna make that a regular stop when I pass through Jackson.

Looking forward to these. Best selection of store picks I've seen in a while...thanks for the info guys. I will definitely stop here whenever I'm in the Jackson area.
