Do you follow the 50:50 ratio or 60:40? Have a bottle of W12 and OWA so I think I'm gonna give it a try.

50:50 is what me and a lot others like. We did massive scientific studies (blind tastings) of the 3 50/50 60/40 40/60. Also it is better after it has sat a little while. I can tell a distinct difference between a fresh batch and the last of the last batch.

What you do is get a handle of something with a screw cap and just dump both in. No measuring needed.

I have tried all 3. This batch is 50/50. I tend to like that the best.

I'll head over there at some point this week to see what they still have.

I'll put up a list like i did last year.

I really appreciate it, I bought a bottle of Blanton's last time I saw it on the shelf. I might have to sneak over to covington to grab that store pick.

Thanks. I a pour out of each so I'll just measure them out and put equal amounts.

Also, why is it necessary to use something with a screw cap? I was planning to just use a decanter.

I did the 60/40. Made for a higher proof. Very similar to Old Rip 10

Anyone on here interested in selling a bottle of W12? I'd like to make this blend. Only have the OWA. I've been looking at bottles online and may end up breaking down and buying one online (odds of winning a W12 at raffle aren't that great).

TA bring that RY10. My buddy Greg will have the money and will be at Calandros for the raffle.

You can use that too. I was just saying a screw cap bottle because that's easy to get and the screw cap won't wear out like a cork over time. I use a old 107 1.75 bottle.

1-3PD: Old Forester 1920

This stuff is so good. It and the RY10 are the best new bourbons I've tried this year. Made sure to get spares of both.

I was able to try Hirsch 16 a couple years ago at Avenue Pub. It was good. Damn good. No whiskey will ever be $3000 good.

Also, the Jefferson 18 that I had right after it was better.
