We rotate red, white, then black. They're all good. Different meat and broth for each type. Make the same beans different ways also. Last pot of white beans (3 lbs) we mixed in a quart of shrimp stock. Added peeled shrimp at the end. Thought it was excellent.

My brother in law taught me a secret that is good on either ... A couple of shakes of Worcestershire sauce on top of your bowl of beans before eating. Once you try this, you will be addicted to it. My whole family does it now.
The aforementioned BIL also likes Lima beans with ham and sausage instead of red or white. I thought that sounded disgusting but I must admit it was super creamy and tasted pretty good.
