There are a few hundred good restaurants there. What kind of place, budget, and location are you looking for?

So something not particularly good but really expensive? Hmmmm. I think that can be accommodated.
I'm playing, bring on the downvotes. I've just never liked or been impressed by any of his places.
But considering you want "Like Emeril's", that means you want high budget, fancier places like that? In the same vein but IMO, much better:
August
Revolution
Commander's
Not as fancy but one of the best in the city:
Coquette
A bit more casual but still high end and great food:
Peche

You can try some of his other places like Meril, Delmonico and Nola.
If you want a similar food style maybe Brigtsen's.

Good suggestion but very far uptown. Sounds like a tourist who may want to stick in the general Downtown area. I could be wrong.
I never think of Brigtsen's. I need to get back there.

As suggested, you would probably enjoy Brigtsen's. I will add Gabrielle as well.
