Where’s the best place to grab a meal around the light festival? Mama’s any good?

Maglieaux's is pretty good. Down at the end of the bricks across from the Sports Museum.

Pioneer Pub is near there and has a good beer selection. Never ate there, but their menu board had some good sounding items.

Merci Beaucoup is popular. I thought it was pretty good for the area.

Yeah, every place is going to be packed and not really worth the hassle.

If Lasyones is selling meat pies out on the street just grab one from there.

Pioneer pub some great food!!

If everything on front street is packed I'd go down to Cane river bar & grill. Some really good without the front street hassle! It's about a mile Or so from front street.

Pub has good food but be prepared to wait and receive subpar service.

Not a fan of their "Famous Meat Pies", but they make a good red beans and rice and a nice gumbo.

As stated above Mama's is good and next door is Papa's. I think Mama's is more seafood and Papa's is more burger/steak although I might have that backwards. Both are good. Also on front street is The Landing which is good.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan either but if I was in town for the Christmas Fest and had to choose between a meat pie From Lasyone's or waiting for a couple of hours at one of Front Street restaurants then I would choose the meat pie.

We went to maglieauxs last night, maybe we ordered wrong but it wasn’t good. Wait was 2 hours at 430 but went quicker. We had a stroller so we were limited to where we could go but I would have rather gone anywhere else now
