Looking to make wine and don't want to break the bank buying a zillion tiny containers from the local grocery stores. Headed to bed so I'll be back in the AM to listen. TIA.

They will be in season soon. You can ride out in the country and find lots growing wild. As a kid we use to pick foot tubs of these each spring and never drive more than a mile or so from home.

Call Harry Pizzolato at Southside Produce on Perkins. If he doesn't have them or can't get them he'll point you in the right direction.

It's still a little early and cool but last June I pulled over on Highway 30 between St Gabriel and Bayou Paul road and picked a gallon bucket full off the LSU barbed wire fence in about 20 minutes.

I have 4 or 5 huge bushes (taller than me) right behind my back fence. I'll be picking them when they're ready.
