Chimes or Acme
Both of those places suck. Roberto's would be my first choice, and call it a tourist trap if you wish but Mike Anderson's would be second.
If he wants a true LSU atmosphere with nothing fancy then take him to Pastime.

I thought about hitting up Chimes just for beers.
If youre just looking for beers, go to Bulldog. Probably less crowded than Chimes.

what kind of atmosphere and price range you lookin at?
you could go La Laginappe.
or a little downgrade and go to Parrain's and Duvic's and such is there under the overpass for your nightcap

Makes sense.
Come from Alabama for the LSU game and go to a "hidden treasure quietly nestled along south Louisiana's river road."

Those are pretty crappy rooms due to the place being so old. Should be perfect for Bama fans.

Roberto's is solid, but it isnt an LSU atmosphere.

Chimes, Bulldog, TJ Ribs, Chelsea's, Parrain's... all good spots in my opinion.
LA Lagniappe or Ruffino's if you want a nicer dinner.
Louie's or Pastime if you want a grungier experience.
