, Victoria's in Denham.

We were just discussing best Tex-Mex a couple of days ago, and this was our decision.

Zippy's. Post game tradition. Food is decent to good and a great bar since the renovation.

Agree with Victorias. Were there at least once a week. Wayyyy better than La Carretta. Two for one margs everyday until 6:00

Mestizos is not Tex Mex, Its Cajun Mexican fusion Food is top notch though, and the prices reflect that.

The Duck Empanadas at Mestizo’s is my starter. When in BTR, I try to hit this place at least one time.

Superior on Government has always been consistent. Even if you just want a Burger.

Mi Padres in Prairieville, a great starter, the warm Bean Dip!

Tio Javi's Is another that my sisters like.

Not hard to find a Mexican place to eat in BTR, each one has its own twist.

When looking for true authentic Mexican food, I’ll be across the border in less than 8 weeks.

Then again in January, it will be 35 years I’ve been crossing. Arturo’s Restaurant in Nuevo Progreso.

For lunch, the Arturo’s Special | Two crispy ground beef tacos, Two tamales, One cheese enchilada, Mexican rice and refried beans. $17

They even do a great job with the Seafood!

Del Mar || SEAFOOD

*Arturo’s Frog Legs | One of our famous dishes in Progreso. (2) pairs of frog legs fried or grilled, served with French fries and onion rings. $18

*Flounder Monterrey | Fresh flounder served with crab meat stuffing and topped with Oaxaca cheese. Served with grilled vegetables and white rice. $24

Now I’m hungry!
