Momma wants shrimp. Never added shrimp to the pot when boiling crawfish. Common sense suggest adding after I turn heat off and start the soak. Don’t want to over cook

Boil them separate. Put a frick ton of seasoning in the shrimp water, and cold shock them when they’re done. Don’t frick up the shrimp.

During your soak process about 5-6 before you would pull your crawfish. Let them soak until shrimp are firm.

I take one of the mesh bags I have from the day (onion bag, potato bag, garlic bag, etc), put the shrimp in the bag and tie it off. When I cut the fire, before I add ice, I drop the bag into the pot.

About 10 min later, take bag out of pot and eat. This is for 15-20 count shrimp. If the shrimp are smaller, I would take them out sooner.

Add them after you take the crawfish out. I’m boiling on Easter and plan to get a few lbs of shrimp and doing the same.

I ended up just putting them in when I shut off the heat. Took them out with the crawfish. They took plenty of seasoning and were cooked good.

Easy enough
