I can't disagree with the cost part, but where are y'all getting your steaks from that you think you do it so much better at home

I order “gold grade” wagyu cuts (filet, ribeye and ny) from snake river farms online. It’s expensive, but the quality of meat exceeds the prime grade cuts found in Ruth Chris, Morton’s and the like.

but you just can't really buy the same quality meat that a good steak house is going to use.

Whole foods and Central market have prime, dry aged, and Texas wagyu. You can also order the A5 stuff if you want that.

Not sure what pretentiousness has to do with it. Steaks are foolproof. Buy the right meat and have half an idea of what you're doing, and it turns out perfect.

Costco's price is so great, but I eat my steaks black and blue so I can't risk it with their blade tenderizing.

No one was being pretentious. You were wrong and were told you were wrong. Nothing more

I'd say my spaghetti, but that is because I probably I use a lot more veggies and use a Trinity plus shite ton of carrot to go with my San marzanos

It isn't just one thing on this end. My gumbos, jambalaya, etouffe, sauce piquant, fettuccini, red gravy with meatballs and Italian Sausage, lasagna------this could go on for more time than I wish to donate to this thread.

Suffice it to say I have been told by many people I'm a very good cook and should have opened a restaurant years ago, but I didn't want to be married to a kitchen, and that is what it takes to make it in the culinary world.

I'm here often. There are a lot of great cooks here and even a few professionals.

The douche argumentative schtick plays on the OT, not here. This is just a weird tantrum.

Funny when someone constantly comes on here and thinks they know more than everyone else and if challenged resorts to insults.

You baws have shown great restraint.
