Looks like Kanno is gonna be the first place I'm gonna try out unless a miracle happens and I can get in at Nagomi

I prefer Daiwa over Kanno if you're going to be in that area

Nagomi in the 9th Ward. Omakase style. My sister has been twice and absolutely swears by it.

Yakuza in Metry is badass. It's old school japanese style and very tiny. The guys that run it are great. Call way ahead.

Did you happen to do the Omakase?

Just trying to get a ruff idea of what it costs.

Around 60 to 80 bucks a person is what we usually spend.

Actually have a reservation there for tomorrow

There's no omakase on the menu it looks like. Is that something I could just order when I'm there?

It looks like you're supposed to mention wanting omakase when you make the reservation online, and they say something about not guaranteeing you can get that if they don't have advance notice, so you may wanna call 'em.

Yakuza House was so good. We didn't do omakase because it was like $100/person for 1 app and 9 nigiri, so we kinda did our own.

Absolutely incredible

Nagomi is the GOAT. Better than Horinoya, which was previously the best.

Yakuza House is not as good as Nagomi, but still better than anything else in the area. NO LIQUOR LICENSE. Make a run over to Dorignac's for some sake.

Only a $5 cork fee which is much better on the wallet then buying drinks individually

Got another 5 pieces and a hand roll after those

I'm going to be checking Nagomi daily to get a spot there one day
