After being a grape jelly person my entire life, I bought apple jelly to glaze something, my husband tried it on a pbj, and we converted immediately.

My maternal grandmother was the same way. Grew strawberries (and other berries and fruit) and she stockpiled so much I think I was about 45 before I had to buy some. Boy was it disappointing comparatively.

Couple people have mentioned a couple flavors of Bonne Maman. They make a fig preserve that’s good on a pbj.
