250k acres in LA and about 10k in east Texas
600# /ac is about avg catch
All of it gets consumed either boiled, peeled , whole boiled
Usually every nov/December most places are out or running low on tail meat plus there is imported tailmeat
Texas is biggest market and live market keeps expanding
There are trucks that run a few times a week to midland/Nashville/Atlanta but geniuses like you probably are against that because for some reason you feel you deserve dirt cheap crawfish
