The French toast hands down (cinnamon around the Holidays) and hash brown casserole is a must.

I love the taste of the whole hog sausage patties. To me, the taste is just like a sausage I grew up eating, Strohe's sausage from Welsh, LA.

Agreed - their sausage patties are very good.

Lambert's is absolutely terrible. Everything is mediocre and the sides all seemed to come from a can. I didn't have to wait but 10 minutes, thank God. They just herd people in and dish out slop.

Other than their rolls yeah it's awful. CB is head and shoulders above Lambert's and it's not close. Tourist trap !

My "go to" is a small bowl of dumplings, a small bowl of turnip greens, and a cornbread muffin. If I'm eating a full meal, my sides are generally turnip greens, carrots, and okra.

Any M'fer that recommends a chicken fried steak from Cracker Barrel has never had a decent chicken fried steak. I have a cracker barrel about 1/4 mile from my office, so it's in my lunch rotation and their breakfast is good, their salads are pretty good, but their chicken fried steak is a prebreaded frozen POS.

I don't eat there very often but I love their chicken and dumplings.

Usually a side of dumplings and green beans or corn.
