There have been drinks like this over time. It is just effective marketing. Give it five years, there will be something new and white claw will be shelved aside

That’s a dangerous game that I’ve lost a couple times. White Claws will frick you up if you start in on them after already feeling pretty good. They sit light and taste good.

These things came out right in the middle of the alternative packaging/canned wine frenzy and right when topo chico and other sparkling water types have just exploded too.
There's a lot of money being thrown into these. The last time it was like this was 2016 into 2018 when rose blew up and everyone started making one.

I find sparkling water/seltzer to be super bitter, so I think that's why I don't like them. I wish I did because the alternative is always beer.
I wonder why nobody has come out with something that is sweet like the higher calorie drinks, but sweetened with artificial sweeteners so they're low cal. They do it with sodas, so it has to be possible with alcoholic drinks.

Somebody left some in my fridge so I tried them. Smells good but didn't taste so good. Had one of those little concentrated squirt bottles of some berry flavor and hit it with that and they were pretty good. I mean like koolaid good. My dick didn't fall off or anything like that.

I could see this having some staying power. People like the low cal and carb aspect, and they’re light as hell. Great pre pregame drink imo.

I don’t like them enough to order at a restaurant or bar, but I usually keep some Trulys in the fridge. I really like the berry ones and the pineapple.

I tried them on the beach last year..... I think they are great. And I'm the guy that would normally make fun of dudes drinking this type of beverage.
