They make the caramel by cooking condensed milk until it browns slightly.
My Grandma’s Caramel Pie
Boil 2 cans of condensed milk for 3 hours
Each hour I flip the cans & add more water to keep cans covered
Let cool & open carefully
Dump in graham cracker pie shell, top with whip cream & keep in fridge

As I get older (38) have lost my taste for sweets, don’t eat them anymore... but best I remember
Peninsula grill savanannah coconut cake
Emeril banana cream pie
My moms trifle cake that we call banana pudding on steroids.... 3 layers of yellow cake, vanilla pudding, homemade whipped cream with banana/blueberries/strawberries
And lastly blue bell homemade vanilla

I'm not a dessert person, but the one I can't pass up is the chocolate sin cake from Ruth's Chris. It's the perfect compliment to a steak dinner. Pair it with a quality red wine.

There’s a food truck on South Congress in Austin called Hello Cupcake. Last summer we hit it up after dinner and the seasonal cupcake was Peach with Cream Cheese Icing. Was a stand out desert in my life for sue.

At the old University Club in Shreveport, they had a table side dessert they made called Strawberries Josephine. Made similar to Bananas Foster, but with strawberries, Grand Marnier, Brandy, lemon, cream, brown sugar, vanilla, freshly squeezed lemon and a pinch of salt. Cooked, flambe'd to perfection and served over freshly made vanilla bean ice cream.
OMG! Heavenly.
OMG! Heavenly.

Nothing for me, compares to the first time I tried Commander's Bread Pudding Soufflé.
That sounds amazing considering the 2 best desserts I’ve ever had are a marble soufflé and a bread budding.

I’m a big fan of bread pudding but I don’t want any chocolate in mine or any raisins.
My all time favorite dessert has to be creme brûlée, they are so damn good.

My Auntie's fresh coconut cake. As in, start with a coconut fresh. She only made that cake for a select few and I was delighted to have it as her birthday gift to me each year.
Auntie was a superb baker - in a pinch she could get three full layers out of a boxed mix. She'd slam the pans down on the countertop to release the cake, which never ever broke. So fun to watch her in action! Miss her dearly.
