Yeah...I'm a pretty adventurous eater, put I've seen enough bizarre foods and no reservations to know most "legit" Chinese food probably isn't for me.

I have those same thoughts when I watch episodes of the original Iron Chef or something like No Reservations. At face value, I'm not down with most of it, but I would try it once to see.

No had no idea Houston had a China town. Havent stayed in houston for more than 1 night in about 10 years though.

It is huge and sprawling on the west end of town. Great restaurants and plenty of them. Huge supermarkets, etc.

It's hard to really describe "Chinese food" because the cuisine is so vast.

FWIW Those shows go out of their way to find the unusual dishes... so in fact they are not a great representation of what people eat in china.

I like dim sum but I don't eat the chicken feet. The dim sum restaurant in Houston is pretty huge and busy on Sundays.
