Ducote insulted me personally to my face in front of other people, I had had several interactions with him prior to that that were cordial, not sure what his deal was at that moment but he can eat a dick.
Had the total opposite experience with John Folse, couldn't have been nicer.

This. Guaranty bought the whole Jay D business including Govt Taco before covid. IMO, this is when the Govt taco quality started taking a dive. So when Jay and Guaranty parted ways earlier, Jay doesnt have anything to do with any of that anymore.

In 2017 LSU had Ducote give the keynote speech at graduation. Once upon a time former US presidents gave the talk.

IMO, the deal seemed great in the beginning for both sides, it just didn't work out.
I obviously wish Jay the best of luck. He will thrive, as he always does.
Sometimes I wonder on all of you haters. Why bash someone local trying to make a career. Is someone forcing you at gunpoint to eat at govt taco, listen to his show, buy his products? No? Then just be nice.

I’ve known him for years, and interacted with him many times, one on one, or in group settings, and I’ve never observed him being anything but a nice and genial guy. Maybe it’s you?

Hell i hated on JD BBQ sauce when it came out and after a few years i actually keep a bottle i my fridge because it is good for what it is.
