YUM brand bought them. You also saw the quality of Pizza Hut and Taco Bell drop significantly when they bought them as well. Pizza Hut was at one time the best tasting of pizzas in that level of delivery pizza. YUM brand bought them and cut cost. It became strictly about bottom lines numbers, which caused a drop in quality.

KFC in America is fricking garbage but the KFC in Europe actually isn't terrible.

Kfc was trash when the colonel was still alive. After selling the company he was disgusted with what it had become.

I last went to a KFC about 5 or 6 years ago.
I last went to a Popeyes in 2019.
If you want good fast food chicken (actual fried chicken pieces), not ‘tenders’ or those shitty chicken sandwiches, you have to go to a gas station.
Brothers and Krispy Krunchy chicken at the gas stations is 100 times better than the trash they serve at KFC and Popeyes.
I last went to a Popeyes in 2019.

Southern Classic for the win. If you’re not cooking your own then Southern Classic has everything else beat. Chicken is better. Sides are better. Can’t be beat.

Popeye's and Publix deli tenders are both light years better than KFC.
Along with a couple of local joints where I am, and I'm sure there are other local places all over with better offerings.

Last time I had KFC? About 15 year ago. The chicken was stale. Had the pieces sealed in one of them clear plastic containers. Yuke!
