Nope. Bc the place was falling apart, and we needed bigger space. It was the 3rd time moving that spot inside the mall, and there were no other options there without rebuilding.

Late 90s there was a line every night at the Hammond/ Airline Location. Quality was amazing. When I lived on Coursey in 2005 I would walk to pick up my order from that location a few times and was good but when the menu expanded to burgers and such quality went down. Lots of frozen products.
Should have stuck wih pizza, calzones, and that awesome Caesar and sensation salad bc that's what they were good at.

I don't ever see any cars in the Coursey parking lot although I'm not in that area at night too often.

Yeah, I don't see many cars there either. Perhaps they're on life support? I don't see how they'll be around for 2-3 more years.

Frankly, I would love to sit and listen to Louis' thoughts on this. Overall, DeAngelo's was a success. They worked hard at making it grow, but it just didn't work out. That's not a failure. That's taking a risk and coming up short. That's called living life.

Do you even know the story about the franchising fiasco and his family?

Pretty sure I do .. Dad fricked up franchising agreements .. Louis had to buy back a number of locations out of his pocket .. Killed cash flow for awhile and stunted the growth .. But I'm sure you knew all of that, being an all things BR restaurant insider ..

Then you must know this because you worked with Louis and you were there when all this went down?

So you and Louis are friends. He confides in you about his business dealings?

At one time, yes, we talked a hell of a lot .. He's given me great advice before .. He's a smart guy .. Things would have been a lot different had his dad and uncle not come down and hopped on his coattail ..

How did "Dad fricked up franchising agreements?"

I'm signing off for the night. Later.

Seems like you struck a nerve. Langland might be Louis's dad.

That he is, and super high energy. He came speak to a company I worked for several years ago when he was considered the next big entrepreneur out of BR. Kind of sad that his business has taken a massive hit.

I passed it on Saturday at about 5PM and it was a ghost town.
