Oh, wow. I don't think I could ever do that. I'm trying to give up refined sugar, completely; don't know if I can do that either.

I would give up drinking, but I'm Baptist. I don't drink.

Ever notice how a simple question like this ends up in Catholic and Christian bashing? Try to be a little more tolerant of people who don't believe as you do.

Whoa man. I wasn't bashing anybody. Just pointing out I'm not a Catholic. If I went to bashing Catholics half my family would be bashed. And us Baptist ain't family bashers...

I'm a practicing and proud Catholic. "I"..."I" don't force my beliefs on anyone and I don't tell people how to live. The question for this thread was "What food/drink are you giving up for Lent?", not "Let's see how we can bash Catholics". I knew before I opened this thread that there would be some on here bashing Religion and sure enough, there was. I know some don't believe in God and that's fine with me, that's your belief. Just asking for a little more tolerance for those who do believe in God.
