Old Industrial Grill in Prairieville, just north of hwy 42 on Airline. Crews have been in and out renovating.
My office backs up to it, but I have no idea who is moving in yet.
Sign says "authentic cajun food"
Anyone have the scoop?

Any idea on opening date?

I messaged them this morning.
They are still going through inspections.
Hope to be open in about 3 weeks.

I hope its great. If so, I'm installing a door on our shared fence. I've been waiting for something new to move in there.

Terrible location. That place was under construction for too long with the sign up. Then They had to do more work after it opened. Whoever had that idea shouldn’t be allowed to manage money.

FRIED HARDSHELL BLUE CRABS
(**SEASONAL**) $MARKET
Available in orders 6 or 12 – we take live blue
crabs remove the head, clean the inners, remove
lungs and face, batter, and deep fry whole crab!
These are to die for!

ETA: probably a bad idea to go on opening night, right?

horrible idea!

They were woefully unprepared.

30-45 minute wait with nowhere to actually wait except in the car.

their method of taking names? a bunch of pieces of paper scattered all over the counter.

food was pretty lame.

mozzarella sticks , frozen and burned and they were "out of marinara sauce".

Seafood gumbo tasted ok but, lukewarm. the crab fingers in the gumbo is a bad idea.

Bacon wrapped filet was overcooked on the outside and raw in the middle.

ribeye was cooked into shoe leather

ettouffee had zero seasoning and was cold

alfredo sauce was ok but the chicken was criminally overcooked

fried shrimp were good but, the accompanying fries were cold and mushy

Bar was not open , no alcohol license

every table in our area sent at least 1 item back. one table just up and left after getting the wrong food a 3rd time

all of this while listening to some guy who couldn't sing playing awful country music WAY to loud and fricking around with his laptop the whole time.

no sign of any sort of management anywhere.

I'm just guessing the owner is also the chef so, didn't have time to manage the staff. Which seems like a bad idea.

Yep, been that way since beginning of the summer. My office backs up to it. The man could cook, he had no business running a restaurant, much less owning one.
ETA: I could eat lunch for 3 days with his $15.99 Ribeye lunch on wednesdays or for a week on a $30 seafood platter. It had to be costing him money to put a plate of food out.
