Have some friends visiting Baton Rouge later in month and they asked me for some restaurant recommendations...only places I have been to in last few years are Mestizo, SoLou and Rouj. How would you rank those? What others to consider?

Solera - Spanish tapas and paella
Gino's - Italian
Overpass Merchant - brunch/lunch
Little Village is always good
Mid City Beer Garden - beers, pub food

they're mid as the kids are saying, at least in my opinion

I feel like Superior is always a good experience

La Lagniappe was really good Friday night. A little dated inside and an older crowd but the food was great.

Jubans looked like it would be good but the wife was freaked out from being under dressed so we bailed. People were dressed fancier than expected.
