What Are Some Good Louisiana Beers?

I’m throwing a get together here in Atlanta for a crowd and watching LSU v Texas. Serving them a tried and true old family recipe of shrimp étouffée.
There will be about 20 people, none of whom are from my homeland, the Bayou State.
I know all about Abita and figured that would be a solid go to beer. What other beers would the Board recommend? Not really looking for a niche taste, like a double hopped milk porter coffee stout orange peel citrus burst overload. Looking for more solid all around please a crowd beers while reping the state well.
TIA

If you're trying to buy Louisiana beers in Atlanta I'm not sure what you can get other than Abita.
Might can go the route of some Louisiana cocktails.

I guess my invite got lost in the mail...
Abita is about the only Louisiana beer distributed in GA. Going to need a mule to hit up the FL. panhandle or Alabama for other labels.

Maybe you can list what Louisiana beers are sold in Atlanta and we can give recommendations.
I’d say anything made by Great Raft, Gnarley Barley or Parish is going to be good. Tin Roof VooDoo is pretty okay. If you can only get Abita, try to find Hop-On.

You might find Dixie at an Atlanta grocery store, which is pretty easy drinking and a traditional LA beer. Its formula was reworked after its recent purchase, and it is not a bad choice for the type of crowd you will have. Plus, you will have the added pleasure of later informing the Dirty Bird fans in attendance that they are drinking beer from a brewery owned by the Saints owner.

drive into alabama and and track down some ghost in the machine if you're really looking to impress.

Dixie’s Blackened VooDoo Lager is actually pretty good.
All other Dixie is not very good though.
