I've been fortunate enough to meet Martin Yan twice (Yan Can Cook) and get two autographed cookbooks from him. He was nice enough, but I got the impression his stage persona was different from his off stage persona. Fairly all-business. Not unpleasant, but less bubbly for sure.

I've also met Alton Brown at a trade show. He was extremely nice and unfortunately my group was leaving so I couldn't spend more than a few minutes chatting.

We talking OG Rachel Ray, or the fat version? If it is the fat version I'd rather just Paula Deen.

I'd also add in Katie Lee.

And for other purposes, Morimoto, Mario, Emeril, Irvine, and Ted Allen. Alton Brown is a given.

Bourdain
Sean Brock
John Currence
Norman Van Aken
Donald Link
Paul Bocuse
David Chang
Mario Batali
Ferran Adria
James Beard

Action Bronson would be a blast to hang out with but doesn't really fall into the same echelon the chefs I mentioned do.

Met John Folse a couple months ago and he couldn't have been nicer. I've heard mixed things about him but my buddy and I had a very pleasant interaction with him.
