I made faux chili dogs for lunch a few days ago, and they were so good I’m having them again. Made with leftover chili, cut da carb flat bread, and the usual suspects. I am not even pretending they are healthy.

Drunk Weenies

Nathan hot dogs, cut into bite sized pieces, into a pan with a beer and 1-2 Tablespoons of hot sauce (Tabasco). Set heat on high and boil all of the liquid away, being careful at the very end to pull them from the heat just as they cook dry.

Then, Into a bowl and eat with a beer. 2 Tablespoons is a good start for the amount of hot sauce added. I have used up to a quarter cup of hot sauce, but they get pretty hot using that much.

We had these to snack on during poker nights when I first got out of graduate school, using cheap hot dog wieners. They were good good with cheap hot dogs. Maybe better than expensive Nathan dogs.

Wife did her usual seared sirloin steak strips, arugula and sweet pepper salad. It'a a Giada recipe that is on the regular rotation. I'll take a pic next time.
