Those are some Cheech and Chong spring rolls. Fried shrimp in there you say? Man that sounds good. Dinner will be a ny steak and an arugala salad.
Eta the grocery store nearest me (pavilions) had snake river wagyu ribeyes and new yorks for $30 / lb. I didn't get one but damn those things looked good (albeit cut a little on the thin side...is this normal for wagyu steaks?)

I’m pan frying fresh speckled trout and will do some hush puppies, making a potato salad from yesterday’s crawfish boil leftover potatoes, and cole slaw.

Dang! That's a serious "first meal out of the hospital after brain surgery meal". I like your intensity!
I assume that means everything went well. Hope so!

She's pretty. RIP girl. Is that a full body mount of a previous dog in the corner?

Spent all afternoon at a friend's mom's wake and I just want comfort food. I pulled some chicken soup and some smothered cabbage out of the freezer.
And I called my mom.
And I called my mom.
