I opted for Chicken with crawfish stuffing and bacon wrapped chicken thighs from Chris Meat Market to another protein shake tonight.

I did beef ribs for 24 hours and they shriveled up to nothing lol. I will try to salvage what is left but I learned my lesson. Don't buy beef ribs from a supermarket. They were all fat and little muscle.

Craving Mongolian beef from Nomad Asian Bistro in Long Beach. So that's what we're going to have.

To Corksoaker: I had a thread asking for your turnip green soup recipe, but it was anchored for reasons unknown. Hoping you'll see this request. Several other folks want the recipe also. Thanks!

Did you free lance the soup?
Fresh or frozen turnip greens? Canned or dried or frozen beans? More greens than beans or equal amounts of those?
Thanks!

More greens than anything. Fresh. Canned beans. It's an easy weekday meal.

Thanks. I love greens and the broth looked so good. I was thinking some turnips would also be good. Cornbread with it would be great.

Had a late lunch after (an OK) doctor appointment, at Panda Express and not ready for dinner so we may skip it tonight.
May I offer opinions about Panda Express?
Was somewhat upset as there were no panda items on their menu (absolutely none). There were no Panda dumplings, no panda wontons, no General Tso's Panda, no egg foo panda, no panda rolls, no sweet and sour panda. After surviving that disappointment, I decided on Orange Chicken (actually brown and not orange at all) over fried rice. It was ok/nice. The wife had some sort of brown mushroom and beef over fried rice and she said her's was ok/nice also.
Service was snappy. The guy who served me was mid eastern and immediately seemed nervous. I happened to glance back toward my truck and the vehicle next to me was a government vehicle (had a government agency tag). Perhaps he thought I was INS or Chinese food inspection division of FDA, or something. To make him feel better and to do my part to get the public accustomed to our new leadership in Washington, I gave him the old double hand pistol shooting sign (pop, pop) followed by a hearty two handed thumbs up.
That seemed to make him even more nervous so I may not try that again.
He asked if I wanted soy sauce and I said sure and he gave me about eight packets. In an attempt to be helpful, I said I only needed one and he replied, "Maybe your wife will want some." I couldn't decide if I should have been offended that he thought the wife wanted seven packets of soy sauce on her cup and a half serving of fried rice. We left the six we didn't use stacked neatly on our table, hoping some soy addict might need a heavy fix and sing out with rejoicing when he found them just laying there.
Anyhow, I wanted to tell my server guy to "chill, bro". that I was not some old fart from INS, but I didn't, understanding that we are all brothers and sisters, but he might not agree with my unity of mankind philosophy. Anyhow, perhaps he is telling all of his friends tonight that be bribed an INS agent today with soy sauce and avoided deportation.
To keep this F&D related, You need to be careful to avoid overuse of soy sauce on your fried rice, because as good as soy sauce is, it is overloaded with the dreaded brown colored sodium.
Peace to all of you from the great southern land mass.
