Tonight’s dinner was brought by the letter B: brats and broccoli.

What? I was watching Burrow and the Bengals.

It was our noon day meal but I caught a ham on sale for 88 cents a pound . Cooked some red beans, some rice, bacon/ cheesy potatoes, bacon & cheddar biscuits and made a salad to go with it. Got the family fed. Got my bartender fed, too. :)

After the thread last week, I decided to make Cassoulet using what I had on hand. So, chicken instead of duck, Chaurice for the sausage, pork belly lardons and cannelloni beans. Came out pretty good but overcooked and a little too dry. Trying to build the crust, I let it go too long and should have watched the liquid levels.

Broccoli
Salad

Chardonnay
