I bought about a dozen ears of corn from a farm in New Hampshire yesterday, sooo...

Made my MaMaw's chicken & dumplings with a side of her fried corn. Roasted some zucchini/yellow squash to go with.

Tastes like my childhood :) Although it will never be as good as hers.

Vodka waters.

Smoked butts on Sundays, pulled pork nachos on Mondays. A tradition unlike any other.

We’re having lo mein, which turned out well

Unfortunately we’re not having the egg drop soup. Does anyone have an idea what went wrong? I brought the soup to a boil then whisked it while slowly pouring in the scrambled eggs. It’s more like egg soup than egg drop soup

Fried catfish and shrimp from Louisiana Seafood in the LBC. I was a little out of place in my flip flops, board shorts and yellow polo shirt. The African American people luv this place.

Swirl the broth so it's circling like a drain then slowly pour the eggs in.

Edit: actually don't temper. Do that if you use the eggs for thickener. For the ribbons, just do the swirl thing.
