The wife (MHNBPF) assembled her annual Christmas Lasagna for the Kids and Grandkids (and me) today. This is a 30 year tradition in our family and the guys tell her it wouldn't be Christmas without her Lasagna. She had red sauce, meat, spinach, cheeses and Pasta noodles left over, so we had mini lasagna casseroles tonight for dinner.

It received my seal of approval.

Leftover gumbo. I used Richard's sausage because my son prefers it that way. I really prefer Rabideaux's because it's so much smokier tasting and gumbo needs that!

He hates that I've changed the way I cook certain things now that he doesn't live here anymore. Moms are supposed to cook things the way someone liked them as a kid, always.

Cooked a chicken and sausage gumbo for my yankee in laws in Maryland. Didn't have the best choice of ingredients up here but it still turned out great. Easy to impress people up here

Don't be jealous, poor Otis didn't even get to have a nice vegetable with that meal.. I bet you had a good healthy salad with the steak and shrimp on that rig..
