I thought the whole Catholic thing was for fish Friday’s only, what’s wrong with a Wednesday?

Nice L, how did they turn out?

I noticed you did chicken thighs. That's my favorite too.

A whole chicken is what I've been using lately just because the prices have been going up like crazy and a whole chicken is still around 5 or 6 bucks and it's really easy to cut up a whole chicken.

I could probably get 4 whole chickens at the same price vs a pack of #24 wings in a pack. I refuse to pay the current prices for chicken wings, hopefully more people will as well so the prices will go down. If people don’t pay several times the price for a damn chicken wing then sooner or later the prices for a chicken wing will have to come down.

They came out great! I seasoned with salt, pepper, paprika and thyme, then put a pat of butter on each thigh and baked them uncovered at 425 for about 45 minutes. Skin got super crispy and the chicken stayed nice and juicy.

I actually planned to buy chicken hips but the store didn't have any so I went with just the thighs. They're my favorite, anyway. I paid less than 4 dollars for 4 thighs, and it's just the two of us so I rolled with it

Ash Wednesday is also a day of penance.

That hot pot is so damn good. And definitely more than a meal for me.

I ate the whole thing only because I was starving and it was still a lot of food!

The waiter said that the menu would be changing soon, so it was good that I came in when I did if I wanted to try it. It was one of the best dishes I've had in recent memory.
