That looks awesome mdawg! We did crock pot spiral ham and dirty rice. I fed about 10 people for $25. Not too shabby.

That chili looks awesome. Where did you find all of those peppers? A Hispanic market? Asian markets?

I was scheduled to start another round of chemo tonight, however, found out today my insurance pulled a bait and switch on my coverage and has decided not to cover my chemo any longer. So until I can get that sorted out I can eat dinner.

blackened salmon and red lentils for dinner tonight.

It sickens me that this kind of bullshite exists. It’s absolutely criminal. I’m sorry you are having to go through yet another hurdle in your recovery.

Soft scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, cream cheese and thin sliced red onion on a poppy seed bagel.

Piece of my wife’s homemade apple tart and Community Coffee. Apples are Autumn Glory which taste like cinnamon and caramel and I highly recommend trying them- best apples I’ve had in a long time.

We have old/good friends. A Pastor and his wife. The wife is in stage 4 and they are at MD Anderson. Their insurance rejects each and every step and then they spend 2-3 days in the hotel waiting for them to work it out and approve it.

If I was a lawyer I would fly to Houston and start the lawsuit for $100M. IMO, they are trying to kill her so they can stop paying for her treatments at the only place she stands a chance. They never complained a single time when our friends paid their premiums, on time and in full, every month.

For those who pray, her name is Dianne and he is Mark. They have refused to treat her everywhere else saying there are no set protocols for what she has, only experimental treatments and MD Anderson is where they are running the study.

Oh sorry CJ I got wound up and forgot you. You remain in my prayers. Hope they can work out their avoidance tactic to keep you going.

MD, I will certainly keep Mark and Dianne in my prayers. My situation will ultimately work itself out. Thanks for the prayers.
