I'm sorry, I hate this place. If it's better than Stella!, maybe I shouldn't go to Stella.

Considering going here soon. I haven't been but I am their FB friend. They post pics of their specials often and it all looks awesome.

Gueeesss what?
I decided on my Valentine's meal. Instead of dinner one night, we're going to brunch at Patois and spending the day in NO for Valentine's :)
It's perfect because we can avoid the Valentine's dining-out crowd and still have a great meal.

definitely worth the trip. I would suggest the 7 course meal, but not the wine flight. Way to much to drink then try to get back home. If you can take river road all the way in instead of the interstate, about 45 minutes from BR area, but really fun drive.

Great idea. NYE, VD and Mothers Day are the worst times to eat out. I never do it. I hope you enjoy.

You nailed it my friend... Couldn't have said it better myself.

LL, I like pinetta's bc I have a 100% sucess rate when bringing girls there. Wish you could bing your own wine though. I poured my bottle underneath the table.

if Stella is so great, what are you comparing it to? Which of those I listed have you been to? Btw, I might have a completely different opinion if i would have ordered from the menu. Latil's tasting was legit. Definitely got more drunk from that Wine pairing than at Stella.

You should definitely go and try it yourself. It's one of the best restaurants in Louisiana.

Better restaurants:
Arnaud's
Galatoire's
Latil's landing
Red Fish Grill... Yeah I said it
Ruth's chris... Bc I love steak
Flemming's
Tsunami
Pinetta's

Yeah, I am getting the impression that Stella just isn't for you. That is fine and all, but the restaurants you are listing aren't all that great, especially Tsunami, Arnauds, and Red Fish Grill. And Ruth's Chris is good, but it is about as boring as my grandmas sex life.

I have been to all of these other than Red Fish Grill and the only one that I would consider a great restaurant is Latil's Landing. There are 5 places I have been uptown in the last 6 months that are better than the rest of that list. (Brigsten's, Coquette, Patois, Gautreau's, Upperline)

I'll just add La Petite Grocery, Lilette, Clancy's, Boucherie, Bistro Daisy, Vizard's and Dick and Jenny's. Uptown is just ridiculous right now.

Yes, but I like Boucherie better. Much more diverse and a much better value.

I have a friend in the business that calls this "precision dining". Some like it, some don't. I like it.
