I saw a bunch of people were posting about tasting some batches this past weekend so how'd it go??
Besides drinking quite a few awesome homebrews at the parade this weekend I didn't do too much.
Will be kegging and carbing two batches for Zapps tonight.
and I've got another two batches bubbling away.
What's brewing at your place?

I have not. In fact I have not heard of them. I will have to look into that variety. This one included chinook, columbus, citra, cascade, and centennial.

Got a newcastle clone cooking.
Cracked open a guinness clone on st paddys and while still a little undercarbonated, flavor was fantastic

How about that.
I tried some friend's Mr. Beer Pale ale and it wasn't half bad. First try in a Mr. Beer I was impressed.

Mr beer is quite drinkable if you use extra malt instead of booster and a decent yeast instead of the one included

I kegged my dark cider for Zapp's last night. Sample tasted right on target. Threw a southern brown on the cider yeast cake. It was roaring along this morning.
Yesterday morning I was down at my new house in New Orleans taking measurements of our back shed to convert to my brewery/laundry room. I'm excited to not have everything cramped up in a small apartment. I will finally have room to store all of my equipment without having to step over it to go to the bathroom. Also no more lugging gallons of hot wort up and down steps.

I've got a stout and a nut brown in secondary as of now. Planning this weekend to brew up a bourbon barrel porter that should be ready to go for the winter. Ordered ingredients for a black IPA and a wheat ale over the weekend. Will probably brew those in the next month.
After that I'm going to take a break from brewing for a while, and be content in the knowledge that I won't be running out of beer any time soon.

Racked an IPA to the secondary and added my second round of dry hopping (1oz simcoe, 1 oz, centennial and 1 oz cascade).

You'll be surprised how quickly and at the most inopportune time those will run out.
