I'm taking a colleague out to lunch today as a small gesture for helping me pass my Project Management Certification exam. He chose to go to Vincent's. I've never been here before. Are there any must dishes on the menu in which one has to try?

Yep.

They're known for their cannelloni. You'll see it written big across their menu.

It's only one of the BEST things I've ever eaten.

* You can't go wrong with much of anything from Vincents, but seriously.. this is the dish to get. Especially on your first visit.

What LL said. Everything is good, the cannelloni is excellent!

I forgot to ask about the crepe/pasta thing. But thinking about the texture, it's definitely possible they're using a crepe.

Corn and crab bisque. I also love the rose of Sicily appetizer. Their website says the canneloni is homemade pasta.

I forgot you were reporting back!

Doesn't even matter. It could be a piece of paper and it is still delicious

LL, you have to stop posting that pic of Vincent's cannelloni all the time. It's killing me!

I am booking a hotel for the last Saturday of January as we speak, and it is so tempting to include Vincents on the itinerary now that I read this thread.

They usually have a pappardelle ragu dish that is excellent if you aren't feeling the cannelloni.

Seafood Mirliton for appetizer is a must in my book, and it's good to share before an entree.

All of the suggestions sound so good. My mouth is watering just reading all of them.

Pasta dish with fried oysters is pretty good.

When they ask you for soup or salad, chicken soup imo. Some (my dum gf) think its boring but I tell the waiter to scratch the cup of it and get me a bowl.

I've had a few other items. Once I had cannelloni, I never turned back.

I tasted it and it was really good. I would get that as opposed to the corn and crab which I found to be just okay. It's heavy with chewy corn and no lumps of crab. There's a good bit of crab, but not lumps. Didn't appeal to me. An upgrade to the caprese salad is also a good idea. It's quite good.

I guess I need to try the cannelloni once. I've been going to Vincent's since I was a child and I don't think I've ever had it.

Duck, chicken, fish are what I usually order.

LL, go to Butcher while you're down here. You won't be disappointed!
