I liked Ruffino's

Of course some of these places have nice overpriced specialty menus for valentine's day

If you really want to impress her, tell her to dress really nice and meet you at your place. Take a half-day off work and utilize the TD recipe book to cook her a meal she can't get at any restaurant. Have 2 nice bottles of wine on hand and plenty of chocolate.

Don't go to dinner on Valentine's Day. It's like going out on New Year's. It's amateur night. If you want to impress your lady, take her somewhere good like Stroubes or Maison Lacour on a different night.

What a rip-off "holiday" that shite is to the public. Guarantees a large measure of customers for a holiday free month of the year. Who is going to go out to celebrate Presidents Day?

Superior Steakhouse in Shreveport

That's where we're going - I've cooked filet and lobster tails for her before, but with V-day on a Tuesday, there's no time for me to cook a fancy meal

V-Day is always a shite show, but get late reservations in a nice place with a great bar scene, and just take your time w/ drinks before.

If you would like to go to a restaurant, try French Market Bistro. Good menu. Easy in/out. It's no more crowded than a Fri/Sat night. I've done it 3 or 4 times.
